Chiropractors focus on musculosketal and nervous-system disorders – like back and joint pain, or headaches – through skilled hands-on manipulation of the neck, spine and other regions. As with other medical professionals, chiropractors focus on prevention and recommend things like appropriate exercise and good workplace ergonomics to minimize joint pain and injury.

According to the American Chiropractic Association, the treatment is covered by many health care plans including major medical plans, workers’ compensation, Medicare, some Medicaid plans, and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans for federal employees.
